37th Championship Show
Thank you to the club for inviting me to judge, a special thanks to Show Secretary Karen Cobbe who brought multitasking to a whole new level and my steward Yvonne Cannon. I was very impressed with the overall standard, quality and soundness of the dogs and bitches. Temperaments were 100% and all dogs were clean and well presented in correct coat with no excessive scissoring. Most exhibits had nice dark well shaped eyes which I was pleased to find, movement was very good on the whole with no sign of any lameness. Full marks to handlers and dogs for coping with the heat, on a cooler day I would have worked them a bit harder but their welfare is paramount. Some small issues with markings but nothing so serious as to detract from the overall appearance. There is a depth of quality in the bitches and they will change places many times over their show careers.

Pleasing head and expression, correct mouth, nice dark eye. Good shoulders, ribbed well back. Sound mover. Firm level topline which held well moving, well shaped croup and good tail set.
