Daisy
Rescued From The Horrors of a Puppy Farm

Picture
Daisy came to the attention of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Ireland in June of 2023.  She was severely underweight at less than 25kg and had been used for breeding in a puppy farm.  She was in heat and spent nearly 7 weeks with a foster family while she underwent spaying, trying to increase her weight and get her used to friendly human contact.  Daisy was extremely nervous and fearful and would need a home with plenty of patience while she learned to trust.

We found a wonderful forever family who were delighted to adopt Daisy and give her the love and care she never had.  Daisy now has a four-legged Berner sister who is showing her how to live her best life and helping her to gain confidence.  She also has a huge garden with plenty of space to play in with her 2-legged siblings and a warm, safe bed indoors at night with more toys than she knows what to do with!

It will be a slow process getting Daisy to trust and enjoy a ‘normal’ life but she is in a great home where her family are doing all the work necessary to bring her on and she is totally adored and we all hope she will have a long, happy and healthy life ahead.
